So you want to hang a 10,000 lb pre-cast element overhead using some epoxy, huh? If so, you probably want to make sure that sucker is installed the right way.
Michael Morrison (Manager of The American Concrete Institute’s Certification Programs) will cover the requirements for Adhesive Anchor Installer certification, and ACI’s newer Post Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector certification programs, as well as both programs connection to ACI 318, Building Code for Structural Concrete. 40+ ACI Chapters and Sponsoring Groups in the United States have added the ACI Adhesive Anchor Installer (AAI) and Post Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector (PICAII) certification programs to their repertoire of ACI certification offerings. The AAI program has been available throughout the US the last 10 years and the Inspector program rolled out late in late 2016 and was then modified and updated in late 2018. This presentation will be of interest to contractors who use these products, engineering firms and agencies that offer inspection services, as well as engineering firms that write repair specifications.

• How both programs were built and who built them
• Understand the requirements to obtain these certifications
• Understand the process and availability of these programs in your area
• Understand criteria associated with the Post Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector program
